Made for the way comics get made
Word processors and screenplay apps weren’t built for pages and panels, so most comic writers end up with home-made templates and a pile of shared folders. Bleedline is built for comics from the first page.
Writers working alone
Write in Full Script, Marvel Style or as one long manuscript, and send clean, industry-standard scripts to anyone.
Writer, artist and letterer teams
Invite your collaborators. Each person sees the pages waiting on them, and every hand-off is one button.
Small studios and publishers
Several series, a whole crew per issue, due dates and a clear view of what’s late, without a project-management tool on the side.
How it works
1 · Write
A script editor that knows what a panel is
- Pages, panels, descriptions, dialogue, captions and sound effects, with word counts per balloon, panel and page, and keyboard shortcuts for the common steps.
- Or just type: “PANEL 1 / MAYA: Not again.” becomes a formatted, numbered script as you write, and Story Bible names fill in with Tab.
- Full Script, Marvel Style or Long Form, and switching never deletes anything.
- A Story Bible for characters, locations and continuity, an outline of beats, and a map of every page.
- Bring in what you already have from Word, Google Docs, Final Draft or Fountain.
2 · Make it with your team
Every page, every stage, at a glance
- Pages move through roughs, pencils, inks, colors and letters. Approving a page hands it to the next person.
- Due dates, “waiting on me”, and a list of what’s late or missing art.
- Comments on pages and panels, notifications, and live co-editing.
- The people you invite never pay. Your plan covers your team.
3 · Finish it
Letter on the art, add covers and credits, check the page count, and export a print-ready PDF with bleed.
Print or digital
PDFs for comic printers and print-on-demand, plus CBZ, EPUB and page images for digital stores and readers.
Manga and webtoons too
Right-to-left manga, and webtoon episodes as vertical strips sized for WEBTOON Canvas, Tapas, GlobalComix and Instagram.
Our promise on AI
Bleedline doesn’t generate art or writing with AI. We never use your scripts, art or Story Bible to train AI models, and we never sell, license or give them to anyone for that.
Your work stays yours. Read how Bleedline looks after it, who can see it and how to take it with you on Your work and Bleedline.

Questions
Do I need to know a script format?
No. Bleedline lays out pages and panels for you, and structure stays optional. If you already have a script, import it.
Can my artist use it without paying?
Yes. Anyone you invite works on your series for free. They only see the series you invite them to, and artists, colorists and letterers work on the pages assigned to them.
Can I take my work with me?
Yes. Download your script as PDF, Word, plain text, Fountain or Final Draft, and your finished comic as PDF, CBZ, EPUB or images, any time.
Does it work on my phone?
Bleedline runs in the browser on computers, tablets and phones, and keeps working without a connection for writing.
Who can see my work?
Only you and the people you invite, unless you make a read-only share link. Art is stored privately and every image is checked against who’s asking.
Who makes Bleedline?
OLGB Publishing, an independent publisher. Questions: [email protected].
